This local establishment is definitely a hidden gem!!! We were passing through the area on our boat & decided to have dinner here. We sat at the bar & had some drinks and a FANTASTIC meal & even better experience!! The bartender was sweet & delightful, the owner, Joe, came out numerous times to chat, deliver food & follow up on how we were doing. The side house salads were a perfect portion & tasty! The entries were absolutely amazing, great portions & full of flavor! We then somehow managed to squeeze some room in for desert. My husband & I shared one of the homemade cream puffs. OH MY GOODNESS!! So yummy!! We just really enjoyed the drinks, food & atmosphere!! We will definitely stop back by next time we are in the area. The pizza looks amazing too!!! Thanks for the hospitality Joe!!

Not sure where to start! My wife and I stopped in because my father, who grew up in the area over 50 years ago, told us we had to grab a slice — he said it’s the “best pizza in Verplanck.” Let me tell you, it turned out to be one of the best Italian meals of my life — and my grandmother is from Naples, so that means a lot when I say it! We had the chicken parm, eggplant parm, spaghetti and meatballs, sausage pizza, and plenty of Chianti! Joe, the owner — what a guy! Funny, witty, incredibly knowledgeable about food, and truly passionate not only about his restaurant and cooking but also about his customers. You don’t see that kind of warmth and authenticity very often. If you don’t eat here, you’re really missing out. After packing up our (many) leftovers, Joe surprised us with cream puffs — OMG, to die for! A perfect meal. Perfect place. Cute, timeless, and unforgettable. Cheers to another 78 years of homemade Italian food! Joe, we’ll see you sooner rather than later!

I liked this restaurant very much. It specializes in southern Italian with exceptional pizza. I loved the eggplant parm and lasagna. They offer high quality Italian wine by the glass. This place has withstood the test of time. I highly recommend eating here.

Paradise Restaurant is by far one of the best restaurants in the Westchester County, NY area. Their variety of tasty pizza choices are amazing. They also have so many other great dishes as well. I myself enjoy the sausage/garlic pizza and the chicken scarpariello. The service is great inside ! Especially Kela the waitress, and Amanda who has always been so helpful in there. Takeout orders are always timely and I’ve never had my order wrong. Keep doing what you do Paradise!

Recently we dined at the Paradise Restaurant to celebrate a milestone Birthday for myself #65. Being a local in this area for most of my life, I couldn't think of a better place to acknowledge and celebrate it. The restaurant offers a casual, friendly and nostalgic atmosphere that reflects it origin. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food speaks for itself, classic freshly handmade Italian cuisine. The desserts are amazing, and the menu is competitively priced. For a good time and great food, I highly recommend this family owned and operated restaurant the Paradise in Verplanck NY.

Went to Paradise restaurant in Verplanck for dinner tonight. I’ve picked up and had their pizza many times which has always been absolutely excellent. Tonight I went with some friends and had dinner there for the first time. It’s a very old-fashioned restaurant with a 60s vibe. They didn’t bring us any bread for our table until we asked for it, which I thought was a little unusual for an Italian restaurant. I didn’t order an appetizer, I just ordered an entrée, eggplant rollatini, And rather than pasta, I got a house salad. The owner, Joe, came over and chatted with us for a few minutes, which was very nice. In fact, he actually took our order. The waitress was very nice also, but I thought the service was quite slow. My friends agreed. My eggplant rollatini and my friends penne à la vodka meal came out at the same time. My other two friends had ordered calzones and the calzones came out about five or six minutes later. I thought that was rather odd. I was going to wait until we all had our food together, but I also didn’t want my food to get cold so after three or four minutes, I started eating. I was very happy with my eggplant rollatini, was delicious and a generous portion. My friend was not as happy with her penne à la vodka, there was not much cream in it, and according to her, there was also not any prosciutto in it whatsoever. It was a huge portion and the owner did add more cream to it for her when she complained. my friends seem to be very happy with their calzones and they were huge. For dessert, two of us got the cream puffs that seems to be their specialty and they were delicious and quite huge. My other friend got a slice of cheesecake. She said it was OK, nothing to write home about. I was very happy with my meal and I would definitely go back again. My friend with her penne à la vodka was definitely not as happy and I don’t know if she would give them another try. Their prices are quite reasonable, my entrée was $22. They have a fairly extensive menu, but I was surprised to see that they did not have salmon listed with the other fish entrées. Salmon is a very popular dish and has been for quite a few years so I’m surprised they don’t have it on the menu. As I said before, the service was slow. The dining room was not full, but there was quite a few people dining there tonight. Maybe they needed another waitress, I don’t know, but we had to wait for everything. Water, entrées, the bill, everything. And the owner of the restaurant, as I said, was helping. I would definitely go back again, the owner and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely order their pizza as takeout, it’s been spot on every time! oh, and there appeared to be plenty of parking, none of us had any problems finding a parking spot.

When our party arrived and walked in..The entire place smelled so good like pizza . Very reasonable rates for pizza. Their cream puff was my dessert choice and I was not disappointed.
